How is My Blog Performing in May 2018?

Hey there!

What do you know, I got another cold this month! (what are the odds??) Hopefully it will be gone soon. But on to the overview! I’m wanting to also start seeing how well I did with my previous month’s goals, so let’s see how this goes! πŸ˜‰

Blog Overview

Follow Count

I was very happy to reach 31 followers this month! That’s 2 more. πŸ˜‰

Most Popular Post of May

There was a tie with 10 comments between two of my posts, so after checking the social media shares, I decided that this post was the most popular one.

Most Popular Post of All

With 33 comments, it’s Let’s Talk + Appreciate Bloggers.

Total Number of Comments

39 comments. That is a lot less than last month.

Highest Visitor Count

May 7 had 21 visitors.

Total Monthly Visitor Count:

There were 198 visitors this month; 44 more than last month. πŸ˜ƒ

Total Monthly Views:

There were 918 views this month.

Milestone of the Month:

Buying Taiya Maddison’s course definitely takes the prize. πŸ˜‰ I actually tried pitching a company, but that was around 2 weeks ago, and I still haven’t gotten a reply, so I’m assuming that’s a no. That’s probably because I don’t have enough views. (The course did mention a number that I didn’t have, but I decided that the worst they could do was say no and tried anyway πŸ˜› ) If you could help me get more views, that would be great! Hit the share button, follow my blog, and share my blog with friends you think would enjoy it. πŸ˜ƒ

Writing Overview

Planning:

I planned out The Storm Inside, and I’ve begun tentatively planning (again) The Triad of Caosdif. I’ve come up with several great backstory motives, but still no actual plot!

Writing:

I’ve been working on my rewrite of The Storm Inside, and have reached 20,728 words.

Behind the Scenes

I am reading…

I reread the Viking Quest series this month, and some other random books from the library. (Or, as my sister would tell you, I’ve been leaving them on our room’s desk and studying instead of reading them)

I am drawing…

Well, I tried to draw some pokemon… the Decidueye looked so tired. πŸ˜‚

I am watching…

My family rewatched Rogue One (Star Wars). As an audience member, I’m like, “WHY WOULD THEY END IT LIKE THAT?!” while crying but as a writer, I’m more like, “THAT WAS SO WELL DONE.” while still crying. πŸ˜‚

Goals for this Coming Month

Blog Goals:

Last Month’s:

It would be really cool to reach 30 followers this month; but also, I want to write requested posts! I want to help you guys out, and you need to tell me what you want to learn about writing before I can help you. πŸ˜›

I reached 30 followers! πŸ˜„ I also wrote a requested post.

This Month’s:

I would love to reach 35 followers, and 1.5k views! πŸ˜ƒ (And if you guys have any post requests, please, tell me below!) I also am interested in making worksheets. Small ones for free, and if they get really big, then maybe low priced. However, before I go investing a lot of time into doing something like that, I would like to know if you’re interested! Vote here! πŸ˜„

Writing Goals:

Last Month’s:

I want to rewrite The Storm Inside this month. (For real, this time!)

I got work done on that. πŸ˜ƒ

This Month’s:

Same thing as last month’s! Rewriting The Storm Inside. Seeing as finals are this month, I’ll get to finally get a lot of time to do this! So I want to finish this draft! πŸ˜ƒ

Social Media Goals:

Last Month’s:

This month on Pinterest, I made a cool for bloggers that blog about writing tips. When you join it, you get to pin your writing posts onto this board, helping everyone get more exposure. πŸ˜ƒ If you’re a writing blogger, I would love you to join it! (Click HERE and check it out!) I also began changing my pins, but then Canva also started to act up yesterday. So I can’t make anything on it. (It literally froze my computer today when I was trying to make an image for this post. I had to resort to my old methods of making images)

That… wasn’t exactly a goal. But no one has joined it yet, and I would love it if you did! Just contact me on Pinterest, or tell me in the comments below if you want to and leave a link to your profile. πŸ˜ƒ

This Month’s:

I want to make more graphics for Pinterest for some of my posts. They won’t appear on my blog, so maybe keep an eye out on my profile to see if you can catch them. 😜

Working with Other Bloggers:

Last Month’s:

I would love to do another collab with someone! If you want to, make sure to mention it below and I’ll remember you. πŸ˜‰

Well, no one replied about this in a comment. But I did do an author interview!

This Month’s:

I would love to do collaborations with bloggers; if you want to do one with me, please, comment below!

    1. I forgot to mention what they were even for. *face desk* Sorry, they’re for writing stuff! Like so you can easily work along with what I’m talking about in a post, or as an added on thing. I actually haven’t worked it all out yet, mostly because I want to know if people are even mildly interested first. 😝

  1. I will totally share your blog! I’ll add you to my other blogs page so anyone who visits my blog can see yours!

About the Pinterest…how do I join in? I’m thinking I’ll need a Pinterest account? There’s so much I need to learn about social media…all that stuff. Sometimes I feel so left behind on all this stuff. πŸ™‚

You can do it with your book! I’ll be praying you can finish it, and that you’ll feel better! Oh, I’m also following your blog!

That’s okay. You need a Pinterest account. Then I can invite you to the board. (You can just drop a link here in the comments, or contact me on Pinterest itself 😊) No problem! If you ever need any help, shoot me an email! πŸ˜‰

Thank you so much! I really should be writing right now, but then I was looking at subscription boxes and… down the rabbit hole. πŸ˜‚ Thanks!
