Filling Your Cup as a Creative {Part 1}

In my yearly overview post for 2021, I talked shortly about how my word for the year was kindness. I also said that I would talk more about that later. And! Here we are! I'm kicking off my first writing post of the year with a bang: a two-part series on filling your cup as a creative. This is something that will influence you forever - not just this coming year. Let's do this.

Why I’ve Started My Own Kofi Account

Did you know I have been blogging for 4 years, 5 months, 2 weeks, and 2 days? That's almost 4 1/2 years!! That's crazy. And did you know that, within that time, I've only launched 1 profitable venture? That was my self published novel, The Storm Inside. Several months later, I looked back at this book I barely spent any time on, and - surprise surprise - realized that it was awful. I proceeded to try to rewrite it several times until I realized that it was making me miserable, and finally just took it down. Not the happiest of stories. Ever since then, I haven't attempted to launch something that people could pay me for. Until now.

2021: The Year of Kindness

I can't believe 2021 is already over. I remember how I was so excited for 2020 to be over last year (two years?), cause, let's be honest: it sucked. 🀣 But 2021... huh. I didn't expect it to be done already, if that even makes sense? But at the same time, looking back at this year, so much happened, that it seems like it has lasted a really long time. πŸ€” I did an overview post in 2019, and 2020, and decided that I really should just make this annual thing by this point. πŸ˜† So let's take a look at this past year.

12 Days of Christmas Book Tag: 2021 Edition

Yep, it's official: this is now an annual thing. πŸ˜† I did this tag in 2019, and then in 2020. I attempt to keep it limited now to just what I read this past year - which will make this year's a little difficult. πŸ˜… I was *cough* a little busy *cough* with grade 12 and then working and writing and doing lots of life stuff *cOuGh* soooooo not much reading happened. But! I am going to try it and see what happens, anyway. 😜 Let's do this!

NaNoWriMo 2021: Days 22-30 (Final Week!)

Welcome to the final week of NaNoWriMo! I'm stretching this one out a little bit longer, as I don't want to do a single post with the last 2 days separately... but anyway! At the beginning of NaNoWriMo, I set the goal to revise 100k of my novel. I am currently, oh, about 50k behind that goal. That said, let's see what I can get done this week. After all, the real point of my revising version of NaNoWriMo is to work on this 3rd Draft of my book! πŸ˜‰
