Celebrating My 4-Year Blogiversary!

Wow. Okay. So… today is my 4-year blogiversary? 🤨 It’s already August 8; how did that happen? 😂

Okay, in all seriousness… I’VE BEEN BLOGGING FOR 4 YEARS NOW. WHAAAAAAAAAAT??

For my past 3 blogiversaries, I’ve shown you some old (or a little more recent) writing I’ve done and critiqued it. I’ve shared one of the oldest pieces of my writing that I could find, an escape scene from one of my earlier manuscripts, and a scene from the most recent version of my book, The Storm Inside.

So, my question for this year was…

What should I do to celebrate?

I’ve learned a lot over the years when it comes to writing. I’ve been writing for about 2 more years than I’ve been blogging, even, so about 6 by this point; I even wrote a post last February on what I’ve learned from writing 1 million words. I show up bi-weekly to impart my wisdom upon ye young padawans.

There’s not too much I can do today in particular that’s out of the ordinary to help you on your own journey.

…except maybe by introducing a new way to connect with me. :3

I am excited to announce that, after 4 years, Julia’s Creative Corner now has its very own Instagram account!! 😄

I’ll be sharing pictures of books I’m reading, and update the stories with what I’m up to with my own writing (which will mean more constant updates on my own personal writing life than you can get anywhere else). I’m also hoping to share whenever a blog post or a video goes live, or when I’m working on them.

Also! I have some really cool stuff in the works right now. I’m hoping to launch it in September, but I’ll be dropping a few hints (and maybe even showing a few spoilers 🤭) on the Instagram account.

My Mandatory Yearly Sappy Speech

Every year, I always get a little sappy at the end of these posts. For this year, let me just say: thank you for being here on this journey with me. It has been incredibly gratifying to see Julia’s Creative Corner truly starting to grow this past year; I know I don’t usually do self-promo, but if you think any post of mine ever helps you – or could help someone else – it would mean the world to me if you’d share it with a friend. 😊

Self-promo aside, seriously, thank you. I’ve officially graduated from high school, and while I’m busy with work, I’m poised to take over the world. 😈 I’ve had a Pinterest for years, am running this blog, recently started a YouTube channel, and now there’s an Instagram as well.

I mean… *cough cough* Whaaaaaaaat, me take over the world? Pfffffffft. I’m just celebrating. Nothing to see here.
