I looked back on my last overview, only to find me declaring that colds were finally leaving me alone. Ha. Ha. *glares pointedly at my new cold*
But before we get on to the post, I have a question to ask! I am thinking about making a course, and would like to know what you want it to be on (if I make one) Please help me out by one-question-long answering the poll below!

Milestone of the Month
I got 27 hours of writing done this month. It’s not my goal (40 hours) but that’s still really good! 😃
I finished plotting Poison Dragon this month! It took me 18 hours (during this month; the total was more like 20 hours)
I’ve gotten 9 hours of writing done this month. We’ve been wiping computers, though, for the past few days, and since I’m still waiting for my turn, I haven’t written much over the weekend. 😛
Behind the Scenes
I am reading…
I read most of The Ranger’s Apprentice series this month, the first two books in the series of The School for Good and Evil and If the Magic Fits.
I am drawing…
I did a bit more drawing this month; another two characters, and the beginning of a more intricate drawing. I’ve begun using Pinterest more to inspire me for drawings. (I collect the pictures that I can use/tutorials, and then draw a character using a combination of all of them) So far, I only finished one of the four characters in the drawing, and it took me an hour. 😂 Hopefully, it will look good in the end!
I am watching…
We’ve been rewatching Harry Potter, and just this past week, we finally got the movie The Greatest Showman from the library. After finishing it last night, I’m planning on getting some of the music. Most of us are still singing it. 😉
Goals for this Coming Month
I would love to actually hit 35 followers this month, and 1k views! (lowering my sights, obviously 😂) If you know anybody who would like what I blog about, please, drop a link to them! I would totally appreciate it! I also am going to try to make a (free) worksheet to go along with a post this month. 😉
I made the worksheet, but that was the only thing that got done. I did not hit 35 followers or 1k views.
I am keeping the same goal: get 35 followers and 1k views. I’m trying to expand more on Pinterest to reach people since my pins seem to be doing well, so we’ll see how that goes.
This time, my goal is to finish reading Structuring Your Novel and to start plotting according to what it says about plot. This will include lots of brainstorming for scenes.
I actually got this done! I finished reading Structuring Your Novel and finished plotting the whole book.
I’m taking a bit of a break from writing after going at it pell-mell for so long. 😂 But after a little, I’m going to get back to work. I only have August left of summer break, and need to make the most of it before grade 10!
Social Media Goals
My goal for this month is to start going through my writing tips board and click through the pins to see where they lead, and to actually read those posts! That way I can weed out dead links, or ones that go to random places, and get lots of research in! 😃
Oops. I forgot to do this.
Keeping to the same idea of last month’s, I want to start going through my pins, checking where they’re going, and fixing descriptions. I don’t often check what descriptions say, and I don’t want anything weird ending up there!
Working with Other Bloggers
I actually have another blog tour coming up (for a book). I read the book’s blurb, and it just sounded like such a fun story (despite again not being in my usual genre of reading) that I had to be a part of it. 😜
Hush yes I posted this a day late but I’m still saying coming up despite it being today’s post.
Well, I got that done!
I asked to get a box from Beacon Book Box for my birthday, and I hope to do an unboxing of it!
(It’s not really working with others, seeing as it was paid for, but whatever! 😂)
Before we go, I want to mention this epic giveaway going on! Check it out!
How was July for you?
Did you finish your Camp goal?

Ooh lots of awesomeness!! I hope you get a ton of great writing done in August too. 😉 And good on you for drawing! That is something…i will fully always fail at. 😂And good luck starting a course too…that sounds exciting and like a big undertaking. Wooo!
Thanks! Me too, haha. I can’t draw unless I have a picture reference so I can copy it. 😂 Thank you!
thank you so much for the mention, Julia! and, happy August! good luck with your goals!
No problem! I’m super excited about the giveaway. 😉 Thank you!
